Biography

He graduated from Leningrad University (1939) and his graduate school (1941). Candidate (1942) and doctor (1946) of physical and mathematical sciences. The topic of the doctoral dissertation is “On the product of topological spaces”. Student of academician P.S. Aleksandrov .

During the war - a teacher at the Leningrad Air Force Academy (Yoshkar-Ola).

Since 1945 he worked in the Leningrad branch of the Mathematical Institute. Steklov Academy of Sciences of the USSR . At the same time in 1950–2000 he was a professor at the Faculty of Mathematics, Mechanics and Philosophy , Leningrad University. He taught courses “Mathematical Logic”, “Topology”, “Mathematics for Philosophers”, “Mathematical Logic”, “Theory of Algorithms”.

He is the author of scientific works in the field of topology, constructive mathematics, the search for a natural conclusion, and the construction of a finite conception of mathematical analysis. Honorary Member of the St. Petersburg Mathematical Society .
