The Cup of Siberia and the Far East among women's teams is held under the auspices of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation.
In the USSR, the tournament was called the USSR Cup for teams from Siberia and the Far East, the first rally was held in 1976 . In 1984 the rally was not held. In 1991, the tournament was not completed, and Barnaul's “Horizon” was recognized as the winner of the cup, winning all its matches.
Until 2007, the Cup of Siberia and the Far East was a qualifying tournament for the Cup of Russia and was held in two stages - preliminary and final. The two best teams on the basis of the draw went to the semifinal stage of the Cup of Russia. From 2008 to 2011 the cup was not played. Since 2012, the Cup of Siberia and the Far East is an independent pre-season tournament.
