The 98th Aviation Brigade is an aviation brigade comprising the Air Force and Air Defense of Serbia .

It was formed during the reorganization of the Serbian army in 2006 as the 98th air base. It consisted of Air Force and Air Defense units based on the Lazhevtsi and Nis airfields, including the 161st Air Force Base, the 285th Air Force Base, the 98th Attack Bomber Regiment, the 119th Helicopter Regiment, the 353rd Intelligence Regiment Branch squadron [1] . The 98th air raid is based on the Lazhevtsi airfields (near Kraljevo) and Niš .
The brigade is designed to control and protect airspace, fire support units of the ground forces , transportation by air, air reconnaissance and training of cadets. It consists of the Headquarters, the 241st Assault Bomber Squadron, the 714th Anti-Tank Helicopter Squadron, the 119th Mixed Helicopter Squadron, the 98th Technical Battalion, the 98th Aerodrome Support Battalion, the 161st Aerodrome Support Battalion, the 98th artillery and missile battalion of air defense [1] .
The brigade is commanded by Col. Alexander Bjelic. The brigade's day is celebrated on November 28 - the day the 198th Assault Regiment was formed in 1949 .
The brigade is equipped with attackers Ј-22 Orao , An-2TD transport aircraft, Aérospatiale Gazelle helicopters of modifications HT 40, XH 42M, 45M and 47, HO 42 and 45 zenith guns Bofors 40mm L 70 and Igla MANPADS .
