He studied at the Paris Conservatory with Lucien Capet and Martin Marsik .

He was the accompanist of the Paris Opera Orchestra , played the second violin in the string quartet of his colleague in the orchestra Emile Luazo.

He was friends with the artist Eduard Vuillard , he loved to play music in his studio, which is captured in Vuillard's painting “Morning Concert” [1] .
