Herminium himalayanum (lat.) Is a species of monocotyledonous plants , described as part of the Orchid family ( Orchidaceae ). First described by botanist Renz in 2001 [2] . It was originally described as part of the genus Bhutanthera . As a result of the 2017 revision, the Bhutanthera taxon was considered as a section of the genus Herminium [3] .

The endemic of Bhutan [4] [5] . Tuberous geophyte [4] . The land plant is small in size. Tubers spherical shape. Stem naked. Two leaves, basal, obtuse, lanceolate-elliptical. The inflorescence carries 3-4 flowers the size of 0.7-0.9 cm. It blooms in late spring [5] .
