Vsevolozhsky, Raf Rodionovich

Raf Rodionovich Vsevolozhsky (Fedor-Ruf Herodionov Vsevolozhsky; d. 1653 , Tyumen ) is a Russian statesman from the Vsevolozhsky clan.

The son of the Dvinsky voivode Rodion Vlasyevich Vsevolozhsky. Together with his father and brothers he participated in the defense of Moscow during the siege of the city in 1608 , in connection with which Vasily Shuisky granted the whole family an estate in the village of Kurman (now the village of Lashma in the Kasimovsky district of the Ryazan Region ). Later, the letter of merit was confirmed by Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich [1] .

Later he was in the service of the Moscow Tsar’s court, until in 1640 he was appointed governor of Kasimov .

In 1647, the daughter of F.R. king of the bride disease. After the tsar married another pretender the next year, the fate of the Vsevolozhskys was mitigated, and in 1649 Raf Vsevolozhsky took up the post of governor of Verkhotursky . He gained fame thanks to the preserved letter to the clerk of the Irbit settlement Grigory Barybin (1649), which retold the decree of Alexei Mikhailovich prohibiting the celebration of Kolyada, playing chess , playing the harp and domra , etc.
