The name comes from one of the dialectic terms formed from the word moss : moshny - “referring to moss”, moshina, swindler - “moss swamp” [2] .

One of the twelve wavy wedges depicted on the coat of arms and the flag of a rural settlement symbolizes the village of Moshnitsy as one of the large settlements of the municipality [3] .

Geography

Moshnitsy village is located in the north of the Moscow region, in the northwestern part of the Solnechnogorsk district, about 6.5 km northwest of the center of the city of Solnechnogorsk , between the federal highway M10 and the main line of the Oktyabrskaya railway .

Five horticultural associations are attributed to the village [4] . It is connected by direct bus service to the cities of Solnechnogorsk and Klin (routes No. 30 and 37) [5] . The nearest settlements are the villages of Golovkovo , Koskovo , Laptevo , the villages of Smirnovka and 2nd Smirnovka . The nearest railway station is Golovkovo [6] .

History

Moshnitsy , the village of the 1st camp , Dolgorukova, Princess Varvara Nikolaevna, peasants 45 male souls, 119 female, 15 versts from the county town, near the Moscow highway.

In the "List of Populated Places" of 1862 - the owner's village of the 1st camp of the Klinsky district of the Moscow province from the city of Klin to the city of Moscow on the St. Petersburg-Moscow highway and along the Nikolaev railway line, 15 versts from the county town and 6 versts from the stanovoy apartments, with wells, with 37 yards and 231 residents (111 men, 120 women) [8] .

According to the data for 1890 - the village of Solnechnogorsk volost of the Klinsky district with 262 souls [9] , in 1899 - the village of the Vertlinsky volost of the Klinsky district, 237 inhabitants lived [10] .

In 1913 - 43 yards [14] .

According to the materials of the 1926 All-Union census, the center of the Moshnitsky village council of the Vertlinsky volost of the Klinsky district on the Leningradskoye highway and 5.3 km from the Sunflower station of the Oktyabrskaya railway, 261 residents (124 men, 137 women) lived, there were 54 farms [11] .

Since 1929 - a settlement in the Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow district of the Moscow region. By the decree of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of July 23, 1930, the okrug as an administrative-territorial unit was liquidated.

1929-1957, 1960-1963, 1965-1994 - The village of Moshnitsky village council of Solnechnogorsk district.

1957-1960 - the village of Moshnitsky village council of Khimki district .

1963-1965 - the village of Moshnitsky village council of Solnechnogorsk enlarged rural area .

1994-2006 - the village of Moshnitsky rural district of Solnechnogorsk district [15] .

Since 2006 - the village of the rural settlement Smirnovskoye of the Solnechnogorsk municipal district of the Moscow region [16] [17] .
