Biography

Born in 1971 in the family of the Krivbass football player Sergei Kuptsov . Andrey’s younger brother, Aleksei , later also became a professional football player [3] .

Club career

He started his playing career in Krivbas Krivoy Rog. In 1989, he moved to Shakhtar Donetsk, where he played until the end of 1994. With this team became the silver medalist of the championship of Ukraine, participated in the UEFA Cup matches. In 1995, together with coach Valery Yaremchenko, he moved to the Russian club of the first division Kolos (Krasnodar), after which he returned to Krivoi Rog in the summer. Then he defended the colors of Kremenchug “ Kremnya ”, Lviv “ Karpat ”, Zaporizhzhya “ Torpedo ” and Donetsk “ Metallurg ”.

Coaching career

Coaching activity began in Krivoy Rog [1] . He helped many Kryvbas coaches, worked in duplicate. In November-December 2004, he served as the head coach of the first team.

From 2007 to 2009, he worked as an assistant to the head coach, Valentina Khodukina, at the Azerbaijani Inter Club (Baku) [3] . In 2008, the team won the national championship. The following year, Inter became the silver medalist of the championship. He played twice in the Azerbaijan Cup final [1] .

In February 2010, he entered the coaching staff of Vladimir Sharan in the team of FC Alexandria . With this team went to the Premier League, and on April 9, 2012 for the remaining 5 matches in the top division, he was appointed acting head coach [1] . The following season, headed the "Alexandria" in the first league without the prefix "and. about.". May 13, 2013 due to the unsuccessful game of the team in the spring part of the championship resigned [4] .

From June 19, 2013, he was appointed to the coaching staff of Alexander Sevidov as an assistant to the head coach of FC Karpaty (Lviv). From September 19, 2013 until the end of the 2013/14 season, he headed the youth team of the Karpaty Lviv as a senior coach.

Outside of football

He is married, has two children [1] .
