After the end of the games in the group, three players of the Kazakhstan national team - Anastasia Shcherbakova, Alesya Petukh and Yulia Mikheychik - were convinced that earlier, in April 2010, they participated in the games for the Belarus national team in the qualification tournament for the 2010 World Cup , held in Kazan ( Russia ). As a punishment for the national team of Kazakhstan, the result of all its matches in the group was set as a loss with a score of 0: 5 (except for the match with the South Korean team, where the loss of the national team of Kazakhstan was left with a score of 3:10, since the difference between goals scored and goals conceded in this the game had more than 5 goals), the national team was disqualified, and these three athletes were suspended from participation in all competitions held under the auspices of the International Field Hockey Federation .
