Biography
He graduated from the Korean department of the Department of International Relations of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1970) and the Diplomatic Academy of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1983). Candidate of Law (August 11, 1976), Doctor of Historical Sciences (July 12, 1991), Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (1996).
At diplomatic work since 1970.
- In 1970 - 1974 , 1977 - 1981 and 1983 - 1987 - an employee of the Embassy of the USSR in the DPRK .
- In 1992 - 1994 - Employee of the Russian Embassy in the DPRK.
- In 1994 - 1996 - Deputy Director of the I Department of Asia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
- August 12, 1996 - July 9, 2001 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the DPRK [1] [2] .
- In 2001 - 2002 - Ambassador on special instructions of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the EurAsEC .
Over the years, concurrently conducted teaching and research work at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia , Moscow State University , Moscow State Linguistic University , and IFES RAS . Since 2002, he has been a professor at the Department of Oriental Studies at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia;
