Michal Nauka ( v. -Luzh. Michał Nawka , November 22, 1885 , Radvor , Germany - March 16, 1968 , Budishin , GDR ) - Luditsky writer, poet, linguist, teacher and public figure. One of the founders of the Pudomy cultural-public organization Domovina [1] [2] .

Biography

Born on November 22, 1885 in the town of Radvor. After graduating from primary school in 1900, he entered the Catholic Pedagogical School in Budišín, which he graduated in 1904. In 1903 he joined the Matitsa Serbian cultural and educational society. As a student at a pedagogical school, he published the children's magazine Zahrodka (since 1906, Raj ) and a children's library together with Franz Kral . From 1904 he worked as a teacher in the city of Zhitava and the village of Gainitsy. From 1906 to 1908 the teacher in the village Zdzer. Working in this village, he organized the choir "Meje" . In 1908 he moved to Radvor, where he taught until 1937. Organized in Radvor urban luzhitsky chorus, which was led until 1937. In the years 1909-1910 edited the magazine "Serbski hospodar" . In 1912, he was one of the initiators of the creation of the Pomodin cultural and educational organization Domovina.

After the First World War, he participated in the activities of various cultural and public organizations. He participated in the activities of the sports organization Serbian Falcon , publishing from 1928 to 1932 their publication “Sokołske listy” . In 1920 he took part in the international congress of Sokol organizations in Prague . Collaborated with the Pula University.

In 1923, he organized the Union of Lusk Choir Societies (Zwjazk serbskich spěwnych towarstwow).

After the Nazis came to power, they were subjected to pressure from the authorities. In 1934 he was exiled to Chemnitz , where he worked as a teacher until 1945. In 1936, he translated the rank of the Catholic mass “Missale Romanum” into Lower Lutsk. In 1945 he returned to Budishin. In 1945–1946, he worked in Budišín as director of the Vicht city school. From 1946 to 1949 he was the director of pedagogical courses in Radvor. From 1949 to 1955 he taught languages ​​at the Karl Marx University in Leipzig . In 1951 he became the initiator of the creation of the “Serbian Institute” (at present - the Institute of Sorabistics ) at the Karl Marx University. From 1950 to 1960, he edited the Catholic magazine Katolski Posoł .

In 1955 he retired. He died in 1968. He was buried in the cemetery of St. Nicholas in Budishin.

He wrote mostly poems in Upper Luzhsk language . He published several books on luzhitsky linguistics and manuals on Upper Luzhsk language. Engaged in translations in Upper Luzhk language.

Family

In 1908 he married Ganna Andritskets. In their marriage were born 13 children. One of his sons was the writer Anton Navka, a writer from Puglia .
