In the men's tournament, the winner for the fourth time in their history was the South Korean national team , who won the Chinese national team 3-1 in the final. The bronze medal was won by the Pakistan national team , which won the match for the 3rd place in the Japanese national team with a score of 4: 2.
In the women's tournament, the winner for the second time in their history was the Chinese team , who won the final team of Japan with a score of 1-0. The bronze medal was won by the national team of India , who won the South Korean national team with a score of 1: 0 in the 3rd place match. [one]

Tournament Qualification
The six best men's teams in Asia (South Korea, India, Pakistan, Japan, China and Malaysia) qualified directly for the tournament. To fill the remaining 4 places from May 11 to 20, 2006, a qualification tournament was held in the city of Dhaka ( Bangladesh ). [2]
The women's qualification tournament was held from June 5 to 9, 2006 in Kuala Lumpur ( Malaysia ). All 4 teams participating in the tournament were qualified, but later the Pakistan team refused to participate in competitions at the Asian Games.
