Miricacalia (lat.) Is a monotypic genus of dicotyledonous plants of the Asteraceae family , represented by the only recognized species Miricacalia makineana ( Yatabe ) Kitam. [2] . Highlighted by the Japanese botanist Shiro Kitamura in 1936 [3] .

The only species is endemic to Japan [5] [6] . Areas found on Kyushu Island [4] .
Perennial plants about 1 m high. Leaves 2-3. The flowers are brown, with a diameter of 15 mm. Blossom from July to September [4] .
