Yakov Yakovlevich Sirobaba (10/05/1919 - 03/05/2009) - Soviet scientist in the field of radar, the theory of measuring the parameters of the motion of rockets and satellites, satellite communication systems. Winner of the USSR State Prize .

Biography
Born in the village Cherkassky Slavyansk district of Donetsk region .
Before the war, he graduated from the four courses of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute . From October 1941 to 1944 - a student of the Leningrad Air Force Engineering Academy.
During the war, he participated in the organization of the use of radio equipment for the return of airplanes to airfields during the Orel-Kursk operation, the creation of an accurate air navigation system and the “Eye” bombing.
From July 1944 - Assistant Lead Engineer of the Radio Navigation Department, from March 1947 Head of the Radio Navigation Division, and from January 1951 - Head of the Pulsed Positioning and Bombing Division of the Aircraft and Ground Radiation Navigation Devices of the Air Force Scientific and Testing Institute.
From May 1953 - in teaching at the Kharkov Higher Aviation Engineering School: Deputy. Head of the Department of Aviation Radio Navigation, from March 1954 - Head of the Department of Radio Navigation Equipment.
From September 1960 - Head of the Department number 35 of the Kharkov Higher Command Engineering School (Rocket Forces). From June 1968 - Head of the 3rd Department of the branch NII-4 MO. From December 1971 - Deputy Head of the Scientific Section and Measurements of the CIC GUUKOS (now KIT SP), from August 1973 - Deputy Head of Testing and Scientific Work.
In June 1975 - dismissed from military service, he worked at the Moscow Institute of Instrument Automation (MNIIP), from 1982 - at the Moscow Research Institute of Radio Communications. Since 1987 - Chief Designer of the design of the special design bureau Agrocomputer. Since 1999 - Senior Researcher of the Institute of State Security and Communications.
Author of many scientific papers, 13 inventions. One of the creators of the automated space command-measuring complex.
Winner of the State Prize of the USSR (1981), Doctor of Technical Sciences (1966), Professor (1967), Honorary Member of the Academy of Cosmonautics. K.E. Tsiolkovsky (1995), Honorary radio operator of the USSR (1952).
He was awarded the Order of the Red Star (1956), "Badge of Honor" (1961), World War 2 Art. (1985), "For serving the Motherland in the Armed Forces of the USSR" 3 tbsp. (1975) and medals.
He died on May 3, 2009 in Moscow, buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery .
