Martin Karapetovich Harutyunyan ( armenian Մարտին Կարապետի Հարությունյան ; 1928-2010) - Soviet party and trade union leader. Hero of Socialist Labor (1981). Honored Engineer of the Armenian SSR (1966) [1] . Member of the Council of Nationalities of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 11th convocation (1984-1989) from the Armenian SSR [2] . USSR People's Deputy from trade unions of the USSR , member of the Commission of the Council of the Union on labor, prices and social policy [3] . Member of the CPSU , delegate of the XIX Conference of the CPSU [4] .

Biography

Born February 10, 1928 [1] , Armenian . Graduated from K. Marx Polytechnic Institute of Yerevan , North-West Correspondence Polytechnic Institute . Associate Professor

In 1981 - First Secretary of the Radzan District Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia.

In 1989 - Chairman of the Armenian Republican Council of Trade Unions, since 1992 - Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia. He held this post until 2007 [5] [6] . His successor was E.A. Tumasyan .

He died on November 15, 2010 [1] .
