Title
In the Amur region, the concept of "Sakhalin" is called high dry areas of land among wetlands, and it is in this area that this village is located, hence the second part of the name. The first part of the name shows that the village is much closer to the mainland than the real Sakhalin [2] .
Geography
The village of Middle Sakhalin is located north of the village. Seryshevo , near the highway Chita - Khabarovsk , near the administrative border between Seryshevsky and Mazanovsky district . The distance to the district center (through the village of Ukrainka ) is 32 km.
To the east of the village of Middle Sakhalin is the road to the administrative center of the Lermontov village council, the village of Lermontovo , a distance of 18 km.
To the south-west from the village of Middle Sakhalin there is a road to the village of Dobryanka , a distance of 14 km.
