About the album
Ultimate Hits: Rock and Roll Never Forgets is a compilation consisting of two CDs , which included the best compositions of Bob Seeger, as well as his music projects The Bob Seger System and Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band [3] [4] . Previously, all 26 tracks underwent a complete remastering [4] .
In addition to Seager's most popular songs, Ultimate Hits: Rock and Roll Never Forgets includes several rare and previously unreleased compositions and interpretations of already known tracks. Among them are the original mono version of “Ramblin 'Gamblin' Man” [4] , edited versions of the songs “We've Got Tonight” and “Katmandu”, the Christmas ballad “The Little Drummer Boy” and the song “Shakedown”, released on the soundtrack to the movie " Beverly Hills Police Officer 2 " [5] . Bob Seager also recorded two new cover versions, “ Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey (Going Back to Birmingham) ” by Little Richard [4] [6] [7] , and “Downtown Train” by Tom Waits [8] . At the same time, the composition “Downtown Train” was initially considered as a song for Seager’s seventh solo studio album Ride Out [9] .
There is an exclusive edition of Ultimate Hits: Rock and Roll Never Forgets for Wal-Mart Stores , which included the song “Living Inside My Heart”, previously released on the soundtrack to the movie “ What happened last night ” [10] [11 ] as a bonus track. ] .

A similar opinion was expressed by Rolling Stone editor Andy Green; he confirmed his rating of 4 stars out of 5 with the conclusion: “All the loudest hits are collected here ...” [2] .
