Biography

He was born on August 2, 1922 in the puddle village of Nebelchitsy (Nebelshyuts). After secondary education, he worked as a graphic designer. He participated in the Second World War . In the years 1949-50 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw and from 1950 to 1953 - at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Dresden . Since 1953, he worked for the next forty years as a freelance artist in Bautzen . He was a member of the Society of Ludic Artists and the Union of Artists of the GDR. From 1956 to 1976 he taught fine art at the Serbian Gymnasium in Bautzen. In 1974, he participated with the Ludwick artists Eva Vorsha Lanzina and Merchin Novak-Nekhorsky at the VII Congress of the Society of Artists of the GDR in Karl-Marx-Stadt. From 1980 to 1989, he taught at an evening school in Bautzen.

In 1996, he returned to his native village of Nebelchitsy, where he died in 2019 [2] .
