Aven, Oleg Ivanovich

Oleg Ivanovich Aven ( January 25, 1927 , Moscow , USSR - March 1, 1992 , ibid., Russia ) - Soviet and Russian scientist in the field of automatic control, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (since 1991), USSR Academy of Sciences (1984-1991) , doctor technical sciences [1] , professor [1] . The father of the statesman and businessman Peter Olegovich Aven [2] .

Content

Biography

Since 1950, he worked at the Institute of Automation and Telemechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (now the V.A. Member of the CPSU since 1960. In 1968, he organized and headed until 1992 the Laboratory of Automated Control Systems. At the same time, he held the post of scientific secretary of the USSR National Committee for Automatic Control and executive secretary of the System Analysis Committee under the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

On December 26, 1984, he was elected a corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences in the Department of Informatics, Computing, and Automation.

He died in Moscow on March 1, 1992. He was buried at the Don cemetery .
