Evgeni Veniaminovich Karpov (born January 5, 1959 , Magnitogorsk , RSFSR , USSR ) is a Russian politician, manager, and head of the city of Magnitogorsk ( 2005 - 2009 ).

Biography
Evgeny Karpov was born on January 5, 1959 in Magnitogorsk . After leaving school, he entered the technical school (GPTU, and now Magnitogorsk Polytechnic College [1] ) No. 41. He worked at the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant as a crane driver, then Karpov served in the Armed Forces of the USSR .
After returning from the army, Evgeni Veniaminovich went to work in the crimping workshop No. 3 of MMK, where he worked for fifteen years, eventually becoming the deputy head of the workshop. Evgeni Karpov graduated from the evening department of Nosov MGMI with a degree in metal forming [2] .
Evgeni Karpov worked as the chief engineer of OJSC MMK, and also headed the Magnitogorsk calibration plant . Then Evgeny Karpov was the director of OJSC “ Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works ” for economics and finance [3] .
After his resignation from the post of mayor of the city of Magnitogorsk, Evgeni Karpov was awarded the Order of Friendship “for the achieved labor successes and many years of conscientious work” [4] .
Currently, Evgeni Veniaminovich Karpov is a senior lecturer in the Department of Economics and Management of the Magnitogorsk Branch of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration [2] .
Eugene Karpov is married, has a son [5] .
