Digimon Tamers is not related to the previous two TV shows, Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02 , and takes place in a parallel universe. In the world of this TV series Digimon - media franchise , which includes toys and collectible cards , respectively, Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02 in the Tamers universe are just animated series. The main character of the series, a Japanese schoolboy Takato Matsuda, a lover of the card game and toys for Digimon, comes up with Digimon Gilmon, who suddenly comes to life in an unknown way. Takato learns that digimons are in fact, and together with their friends, Li Jianlian and Ruka Makino, and their digimons, oppose the evil digimons attacking the human world, as well as the secret agency Hypnos, which seeks to destroy the digimons as such. Subsequently, the characters are faced with a much more sinister threat, the Digital Reaper.

Digimon Tamers received good critics' acclaim: praise was given to rethinking many aspects of the universe of the first two TV series and the fact that the series was much more dismal than Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02 . Also, praise was awarded to the elaboration of the characters and the psychological aspect of the plot. As in the first two series, Digimon Tamers produced toys, food, collectible cards , manga , magazines, fancy dresses , school supplies, accessories, music albums, video tapes, DVDs and computer games distributed mainly by Bandai Namco Holdings .

Story

Takato Matsuda, the 12-year-old protagonist of the series, is a fan of the card game Digimon. One day, after playing with his two buddies, Hirokazu and Kant, he discovers a mysterious blue card in his box. The boy is trying to analyze it in his plastic toy box, which inexplicably begins to glow and turn into a real box. Finally, Takato realizes that he has become a “digimon tamer” and accidentally creates from the drawing his own digimon-mate - Gilmon. Then Takato meets two children, who later also turn out to be tamers: Li Jianlian and Ruka Makino. He gets along with Jiang, but both boys need time to get to know Closer, who views the digimon as a “battle machine” and makes friends with her.

Meanwhile, as this group is formed, digimons intrude in Tokyo , as in Japan , more precisely in Tokyo's Syunjuku , several digital portals appear. The tamers fight these digimons to protect the city, but they are not alone - some government organization Hypnos, led by Mitsuo Yamaki, is trying to exterminate the digimons to stop these invasions. The group also encounters the mysterious digimon Kalumon, who has the unique ability to manage divivolutions. Another uncontrollable digimon, Impmon, also which is being passed on by tamers and their partner digimons. During the invasions, the tamers encounter nine devas in the real world and two in the digital world. The twelfth, Antilamon, regresses to Lopmon and becomes Digimon-mate Xiaochun, Jian's younger set.

When, as they have to go to the Digital World, in order to rescue Calumon, who was abducted by one of the devas, the tamers unite, for the fate of both worlds is in their hands. They are accompanied by other tamers: Hirokazu Shiota, Kant Kitagawa (who do not have digimons) and Dzyuri Kato (with Leomon). Later, they will appear before Impmon in the form of a Mega Beelzevmon, after his deal with Zhuyuyemonom, one of Siseiju - "The Four Sacred Animals." In exchange for the phenomenal power that a seiju will give him, Impmon must lime the handlers. Trying to intervene, Leomon perishes at the hands of Beelzevmon, because of what Jurie is discouraged. The distraught Takato makes Gilmon evolve despite the fact that he turns into the dark form of Mehydramone. After this incident, Beelzevmon suffers a final defeat from Ducmont. Finally, the tamers encounter Zhuutsuyemon himself, but the latter finally fights with the Digital Reaper, a computer program that has become uncontrollable. Tamers must not only save both worlds from destruction, but also save Dzyuri, who has fallen into the trap and feeds his diabolical program with his discouragement. A large-scale battle takes place between Takato, Jiang, Ruka, Ryo Akiyama and their digimons and the Digital Reaper. Takato tries to save Dzyuri while three other tamers fight. Finally, the Digital Reaper was defeated by Jiang and Terrier, who put the Hypnos bomb into the heart of the program. In the final scene, the digimons return to the Digital World without their handlers, but Takato, in spite of everything, notices the portal leading to the digital world and remaining active in his old hiding place.
