Policy
In the 2012 presidential election, residents of the canton voted in the 1st round to Francois Hollande 27.9% of the vote against 26.3% for Nicolas Sarkozy and 20.2% for Marine Le Pen , in the 2nd round, Hollande won, receiving 51.7% of the vote (2007 1st round: Sarkozy - 30.6%, Segolen Royal - 25.0%; 2nd round: Sarkozy - 54.3%). In the elections to the National Assembly in 2012 in the 4th constituency of the Air Department, they supported the incumbent deputy, Socialist Party candidate Francois Lonclay , who received 40.5% of the vote in the 1st round and 55.7% of the vote in the 2nd round.
