The 2015 IIHF Women's Ice Hockey World Championship in the 1st Division is the IIHF IIHF ice hockey competition held from January 4 to 10, 2015 in the French commune of Vaujany . The team that won the first place received the right to play in the top division of the 2016 World Cup .

Participating Teams
Six national teams took part in the championship - all from Europe . The Hungarian team came from the TOP division , the Austrian team got to the championship according to the results of the qualification tournament , the rest - from the last tournament of the first division .
