It was founded at the stopping point of the East Siberian railway Priboy (5443 km).

Geography
Located on the shores of Lake Baikal , 23 km north-east of the center of the rural settlement - the village of Tankhoi . The Trans-Siberian Railway passes through the village, 300 meters to the south - the P258 Baikal federal highway.
