Valentina Nikolaevna Polkhanova (born August 15, 1971 ) is a Soviet and Russian cyclist.

Career
She took her first steps in cycling when she was 8 years old in the cycling section in Luhovka , where Vyacheslav Tokarev worked as a trainer. At the age of 17, making her debut at the All-Russian competitions, I liked the Samara coaches from the Olympic Training Center. Valentina moved to Samara, where for several years she played for the army sports club, was part of the national team.
Two-time winner (1993, 1994), two-time bronze medalist (1990, 1991) of the World Cup.
Many-time champion of the country, winner of international competitions. In 1994, Valentina Polkhanova became the first racer from the former Soviet Union to win the legendary Tour de France multi-day bike race.
