Joho [1] [2] or Shoho [1] [2] [3] ( 承保 承保 jo: ho, sho: ho:) is the motto of the reign ( nengo ) of the Japanese emperor Shirakawa [3] [1] , used since 1074 1077 year [1] [4] .

Origin
The name Nengo was borrowed from the classical ancient Chinese composition Shu Jing [4] : 「承保 乃文 祖 受命 民」 [4] .

- 1074 year (1st moon of the 1st year of Joho) - 71-year-old dinamagon Minamoto-no Takakune resigned of his own free will due to his advanced age. He settled in Kyoto, a suburb of Kyoto, where he and his friends conducted research on the history of Japan . The result of the work was a book [6] ;
- March 7, 1074 (the 7th day of the 2nd moon of the 1st year of Jojo) - the former Fujiwara no Yorimiti campus died at the age of 83 [6] ;
- October 25, 1074 (3rd day of the 10th moon of the 1st year of Joho) - the Empress Zeto-mon died at the age of 87 [7] ;
