Until 368, Chilon served as vicar , but the diocese he led was unknown. According to the Roman historian Ammianus Marcellinus , in 368, Chilo and his wife Maxim complained to the prefect of the city of Rome, Olibria, that they were being enchanted and that they suspected were immediately captured and sent to prison [1] . In 375, Chilon served as proconsul of Africa .
