Capital Life

The company was registered in 2004 under the name “Rosgosstrakh-Life” in the form of a limited liability company ^[12] , an insurance license was obtained in 2005 ^[13] .

On September 3, 2018, it was officially announced that the company was rebranded and its name changed to Capital Life ^{[14] [15]} .

The president of the company since 2017 is Evgeny Giner, president of the football club PFC CSKA. In the spring of 2018, he announced his ownership of the company and plans to formally take control of the insurer ^[16] . In March 2019, Giner became the owner of a 9.9% stake in Capital Life Life Insurance ^[17] .

The premiums collected in 2018 amounted to 28.2 billion rubles, insurance payments 13.2 billion rubles, the volume of insurance reserves 119 billion rubles ^{[3] [4]} . The company's share in the life insurance market is 17%, the number of insured individuals is 5 million people ^[5] . The company has the most extensive agent network among all life insurers and the fifth largest among all insurance companies in the Russian Federation ^[18] .

At the end of 2018, the company occupies the following places in the Russian insurance market :

• No. 1 on premium collection under life insurance contracts for a period of over 5 years with installment payments ^[19] ;
• No. 2 on life insurance benefits ^[20] ;
• No. 5 on life insurance premiums ^[21] ;
• No. 6 on pension insurance ^[22] ;
• No. 14 in total insurance premiums.

In the fall of 2018, the company formed the largest authorized capital among life insurers at 4.1 billion rubles, entering this list among the top ten insurance organizations in the Russian Federation ^{[23] [24]} .

In June 2019, the Board of Directors was elected consisting of:

1. Artyakov Vladimir Vladimirovich , First Deputy General Director of Rostec State Corporation;
2. Bokarev Andrey Removich , President of Transmashholding JSC;
3. Giner Vadim Evgenievich, General Director of Soyuz LLC;
4. Gurevich Evgeny Romanovich, General Director of Capital Life Life Insurance LLC;
5. Evtushenkov Vladimir Petrovich , Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sistema JSFC .

In 2018, Capital Life became the first life insurer to receive a rating from ACRA rating agency ^[25] , it was assigned a rating of “BBB (RU)” with a stable outlook.

In the same year, the analytical agency BusinessDrom assigned the company the highest rating for the quality of services “Quality Mark” at level A1 (the rating was updated in February 2019) ^[26] .

In 2014, the Investor Awards were awarded the product “Money Management +”, developed jointly by RGS-Life and BCS ^[27] .

In 2017, the company became the winner of the “Financial Elite” award in the categories “Reliability” and “Social Responsibility” ^[28] .

In the same year, she was awarded the Investor Awards in the nomination “Best Investment Product of Life Insurance 2016” ^[29] .

In September 2018, the company became the winner of the “Consumer Rights and Quality of Service - 2018” award for the best product offer on the life insurance market ” ^[30] .

In the fall of 2018, the company became the winner of the “Financial Elite of Russia” award in the “Reliability” nomination ^[31]
