Etienne Anheim ( Fr. Étienne Anheim ) is a French medieval historian , a researcher at the Graduate School of Social Sciences , and the editor-in-chief of Annals magazine .

Biography
He studied at the Higher Normal School de Fontenay / Saint-Cloud in Lyon (1993-1998). In 2004 he defended his thesis on the cultural life in Avignon during the reign of Pope Clement VI (1342-1352).
In 2002-2006 he taught at the French School in Rome. In 2006—2016 - Professor of Medieval History at the University of Versailles ( Versailles , Department of Yvelines , Region Ile de France , France ).
As a visiting professor, he lectured at the University of London , at Cornell University (USA) , at the University of Friborg (Switzerland) , at the University of Westphalia (Germany), and the University of Milan (Italy) .
Scientific Activities
The main subject of Etienne Anheim's research is the social and cultural history of the late Middle Ages, as well as historiography and the epistemology of history.
