Sugorskie - Russian princely family, branch of the princes Belozersky . The genus is included in the Velvet Book [1] .
Descended from Vasily Romanovich Belozersky (XV knee from Rurik ), who inherited the eastern inheritance of the Belozersky principality - Sugorsk principality . After the reign of his son Yuri Vasilyevich , who moved to reign in Belozersk , the line of Sugorsk princes was continued by Semyon Vasilyevich Sugorsky , who had five children. Two of them became princes of Kem . The Sugorsky clan lasted until the end of the 16th century and was bogged down by the great-great-grandson of Semyon Vasilyevich Zakharia Ivanovich Sugorsky (d. 1582 ), who served as governor and diplomat under Ivan the Terrible and headed the embassy to Emperor Maximilian II in 1576 .
A branch of the Sugorsky princes are the Tzigorov nobles. Their ancestor was one of the sons of Prince Ivan Vladimirovich Sugorsky - Gregory, nicknamed Tsygor, mentioned in the murals among the boyars' children who took part in the campaign to the Ugra .
