Biography
The son of A.A. Zhabchinsky , a Russian and Polish military leader, division general of the Polish Army. In 1921 he graduated from artillery school and entered the University of Warsaw . During his studies, he became interested in theater, played on the amateur stage.
In 1924-1927 - artist of the Polish and National Theaters in Warsaw, later performed in the groups of theaters in Lviv , Poznan , Lodz , played revues and operettas .
At the beginning of World War II he was drafted into the army. Member of the September campaign . After its completion, he ended up in Romania, interned in Hungary, fled from the camp to France, where he joined the Polish army forming abroad. Member of the French campaign of 1940.
After the defeat, he ended up in England. In 1942 sent through Iraq and Palestine to the theater of operations in the Middle East in Egypt . With the rank of captain, he took part in the battles for Italy , was wounded in the battles at Monte Cassino . He is awarded the cross of the Brave .
In 1946 - an employee of the Polish Red Cross in Salzburg . In 1947 he returned to his homeland. He played in the theater, spoke on the radio, recorded songs.
Died of a heart attack. He was buried in Warsaw at the Military Ponzki cemetery.
