The house-museum of V.I. Lenin in Pskov, or, as it is often called by the Pskovites, the "Iskra House" is located near the Pskov River at the lane Sparks, house 5. In 1900, the house belonged to a local resident I. N. Bochkarev. Here was a safe house of the Pskov Social Democrats. In March-April 1900, a meeting was held here on the issues of publishing the Iskra newspaper and the Zarya magazine, prepared by V. I. Lenin. V. I. Ulyanov-Lenin , S. I. Radchenko , P. B. Struve , M. I. Tugan-Baranovsky , L. Martov , A. N. Potresov , A. M. Stopani took part in it . Since 1902, the secret center of the Pskov agents Iskra settled in the house, one of the leaders of which was P. N. Lepeshinsky .
July 18, 1938 the house-museum of V.I. Lenin was opened here.
During the Great Patriotic War, the house-museum was destroyed. After the war, the house was restored [1] .
The central place of the exhibition is occupied by materials on the meeting. The exposition of the museum is dedicated to the activities of the Iskra Pskov Assistance Group created by V. I. Lenin. The display case contains a double-bottom suitcase, a roll for drawings, a canvas vest, and children’s cubes hollow inside - with the help of these objects Lenin newspapers were smuggled across the border into Russia.
