History
K. A. Averyanov traces the history of the village of Nizhny Likhobory from the village of Toporkovo, located a little to the west, near the modern Bolshoi Academic Street . The village was first mentioned in 1560 as the possession of Prince Shuisky , but may be associated with the kind of servants of the 15th century Toporkovs. In the village was the wooden church of Michael the Archangel. In 1593, Toporkovo was transferred to the Epiphany Monastery , by 1646 passed into the possession of Prince Shakhovsky , and in 1652 it became a village of the village of Vladykino in the possession of Patriarch Nikon . [one]
Between 1704 and 1711 the peasant households were moved east to the Dmitrov road , and after that Toporkovo is not found in the documents, but the Likhobors begin to be mentioned, and by the end of the 18th century the name Lower Likhobory was fixed in contrast to the Upper Likhobory on the other side of the Likhoborka River . Under Peter I, the village was transferred to the Synodal Office, and in 1738 - under the jurisdiction of the State College of Economy. In 1812, the village was looted by Napoleonic troops , but soon the village was restored. [one]
In 1838, near the village, the Dmitrovsky road bridge was built across Likhoborka, and not later than in 1884, a stone chapel of the Archangel Michael was built next to the bridge. In 1851, the Nikolaev Railway passed between the village and the land belonging to it, and at the beginning of the 20th century, the District Railway was laid through the village [1] .
In 1911, a Soviet ace pilot, aviation lieutenant general, Hero of the Soviet Union Pavel Vasilievich Rychagov (1911-1941) was born in the village. His name in 1975 was the former main street of the village, which became part of Moscow.
Lower Likhobory became part of Moscow in 1927 with the establishment of the city border along Likhobork. The last village houses and chapel were demolished during the reconstruction of the 1950s - 1960s. The name remains in the name of the five Nizhnye Likhoborsky passages; only the 1st and 3rd Nizhne - Lykhoborsk passages have survived to our days. [2] [1]
