Veretennikov, Nikolay Vladimirovich

Born in 1911 in the village of Bogoroditskoye of the Russian Empire, now Peschanokopsky district of the Rostov region.

From 1930 he worked in the fifth section of the Tselinsky grain farm : ^[1] as a hitch, then as a tractor driver, combine operator . He was a constant initiator and the constant winner in labor competitions, the participant of the All- Union Agricultural Union of the USSR . Since 1938, Veretennikov is a mechanic of the department, and in 1940 he was appointed head of the grain farm “Tselinsky” in the Tselinsky district of the Rostov region. In 1941 he joined the CPSU (b) / CPSU .

Since 1941 - in the Red Army, the participant of the Great Patriotic War. In 1944, he was the driver of the 531st separate autorotation for transportation, and in 1945, the squad leader was the driver of the 531st separate autorotation for the 107th rifle division of the 1st - 4th Ukrainian fronts, senior sergeant .

Demobilized from the army, he returned to his homeland and joined in the restoration of agriculture. Under his leadership, plowed fields under steam according to technology — to a depth of 25 centimeters; they made preplant harrowing. All winter they detained the snow, fertilized it with fertilizer from an airplane. And the labor of the peasants paid off the harvest: in the summer of 1947, an average of 30 centners of grain per hectare was harvested on 392 hectares . And some fields yielded 33-34 centners per hectare. ^[2]
