Geography
The village is located within the Caspian lowland on the right bank of the Volga (on the banks of the Tatyanka backwaters), from the main channel of which is separated by the Golodny Peninsula, on the border with the Krasnoarmeysky district of the city of Volgograd . A cliff stretches along the banks of the Volga. The village is located at an altitude of about 13 meters above sea level [2] .

On public roads, the distance to the working village of Svetly Yar is 11 km, to the center of Volgograd - 46 km.
History
Date of establishment not established. In 1966 - as part of the Svetloyarsky Council of the Svetloyarsky District of the Volgograd Region. In the same year he was transferred to the Bolshe-Chapurnikovsky village council. In 1976 he was returned to the Svetloyarsk Council [3] .
In 1986, decision No. 12/244 was adopted “On the transfer of the Sadovy village from the sanitary protection zone of the Volgograd carbon black plant” [4] . Currently, a large population of resettled [5] .
