Biography

He graduated from the Kaluga Agricultural College. From April to November 1933, technical director of the Smentsevo farm of the Nekouz district of the Ivanovo region , from November 1933 to July 1937 director of the Ermolino farm of the Borovsky district of the Kaluga region .

He graduated from two courses of the Moscow Agricultural Academy (1937-1939), Higher Naval School named. M.V. Frunze (1939-1941), Naval Academy named after K. E. Voroshilov (1948-1951), Higher Military Academy. K.E. Voroshilova (1958-1960).

At the beginning of the war, the tugboat commander “No. 6”, a participant in the transition of ships and vessels of the Baltic Fleet from Libava to Kronstadt in July - August 1941.

Since December 1941, the commander of the warhead of the T-906 minesweeper of the White Sea Flotilla minesweeping brigade, since November 1942, the assistant to the minesweeper T-907, since April 1943 the commander of the T-110 minesweeper; a participant in the defense of Leningrad and the Soviet Arctic, actively participated in ensuring the posting of allied convoys and the protection of their coastal communications.

In 1960-1962, the commander of the 50th cruiser division; in 1961-1963, commander of the 150th separate brigade of missile ships of the Black Sea Fleet.

In 1963-1967, the 1st deputy commander, in 1967-1975 the commander of the Baltic Fleet. He successfully led the fleet in strategic maneuvers “Ocean” in 1970, exercises “South”, “West”, “Baltic”. He paid much attention to practicing the most complex naval operations, including the landing of assault forces of various levels on the non-equipped coast, the interaction of the diverse forces of the fleet with the ground forces in the coastal direction.

In 1975-1977, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy for naval educational institutions. He carried out significant work on improving the educational process, developing the material base of training.

In 1978-1983, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Allied Forces of the Warsaw Treaty Member States for the Navy. He made a great contribution to the organization and testing of the combat readiness of the united Baltic Fleet of the Warsaw Treaty member states.

In 1983-1987, a military inspector-adviser to the Group of Inspectors General of the Ministry of Defense.

Since 1987, retired.
