Kanna (Nengo)

Kanna [1] [2] or Kanva [1] [2] [3] ( 寛 和 на kanna, kanva , tolerant world) is the motto of the reign ( nengo ) of the Japanese emperors Kazana and Ichijo [3] [1] from 985 to 987 year [1] [4] .

Origin

The name Nengo was borrowed [4] :

  • from Shu Jing : 「寛 而 有 制 、 従 容 以 和」 [4] ;
  • from the 73rd juan " Hou Hanshu ": 「以 寛 和 為 政」 [4] .

Events

  • 985 year (1st year of Kanna) - the Buddhist monk Genshin compiled the “Collection of information about the revival” ( 往生 要 集 О: jo: -ё: syu:) ;
  • 986 (6th moon of the 2nd year of Kanna) - Emperor Kazan abdicated and settled in Kazan-ji (or Gangyo-ji, я 慶 寺 ), where he became a Buddhist monk under the name Nu: kaku [6] ;
  • August 23, 986 (16th day of the 7th moon of the 2nd year of Kanna) - the 11-year-old Iyasada-shino became the crown prince , who after a while ascended the throne under the name of Emperor Ichijou [7] ;
