Home Arena
The team holds home matches at the Central Sports Complex "Neman" , located in the city of Grodno on Kommunalnaya street.
The arena was built in 1963 and before the reconstruction of the Dynamo stadium in Minsk in 1979, it was the largest in the BSSR. Previously, the stadium was called the Red Banner. Before the reconstruction, there were 23 sectors arranged in the form of a horseshoe, with 14 wooden rows in each.
The reconstruction of the stadium took place from 2003 to 2008 , after which it received the status of a multifunctional sports complex. Having become the best athletics and one of the best football arenas in Belarus, CSK Neman is a visiting card and decoration of the city of Grodno . Capacity - 8404 people, seats are equipped with individual plastic seats. There are VIP-boxes, places for the press. Sectors from 1 to 21 are located on the first (lower) tier. From 22 to 30 on the second (upper) tier. Neman FC's fan sector is 21, and the guest is 1.
The arena has three UEFA stars, which gives the right to host official matches of the national teams and European cups to the semifinal stage inclusively.
Performance in European competitions
Neman made his European debut in the status of the owner of the 1993 Belarus Cup . In the Cup Cup, Grodno met with the Swiss Lugano . Having lost the first match away 0-0, the Neman lost almost all chances to continue the fight. However, despite this, the Belarusians in the return mast, which was held at the Minsk stadium Dynamo , won 2-1. Goals were scored by Sergey Solodovnikov and Yuri Mazurchik.
The next performance of "Neman" in the European arena had to wait 10 years. In 2003, Grodno took part in the UEFA Cup , the Romanian “Steaua” became the rival of the club in the preliminary round of the tournament. The team from Bucharest before the match was considered a clear favorite of the pair, however, the Neman players showed character and reduced both matches to a draw. The first game, which took place at the Minsk tractor stadium , ended with a score of 1: 1. The account was opened by Dmitry Dolya, but a few minutes before the end of the Romanians from the penalty area managed to restore balance. The second leg in Romania ended with the score 0-0, which allowed the Steaua players to go further. Their rival in the next round was the English “Southampton” .
In 2005, the Grodno club received the right to participate in the Intertoto Cup . In the first round, they had to fight with the Czech club Tescoma from the city of Zlin . The first match, held at the Minsk stadium “Torpedo” , ended with a minimal defeat of the “Neman” - 0: 1. In the return game, the Tescoma players retained an advantage, and the game ended in a goalless draw - 0-0. In the second round, the Czechs received the Belgian club Gent as rivals.
In 2014, Neman again received the right to represent Belarus in Eurocups. In the status of finalist of the Belarus Cup in 2014 ( Soligorsk Shakhtar became the trophy holder, who already had a ticket to the Europa League following the results of the Belarusian Championship 2013 ), the Grodno club started from the 2nd qualification round. The rival is the Icelandic club Habnarfjordur . The first ever Neman European Cup match in their native stadium ended in a draw - 1: 1. A week later, in Iceland, the Grodno defeated 0-2 and once again stopped the fight in the first round for themselves.
