History
It was founded as a village at the Gniloaksayskaya station of the Tsaritsyn – Tikhoretskaya Vladikavkaz railway , opened in 1889 [2] . Gniloaksayskaya station was first marked on the military road map of 1888 [3] .
The name Tikhiy was assigned on the basis of the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of May 28, 1962 [4] .
Geography
The village is located 11 km northwest of the village of Aksai .
