The National Center for Defense Management of the Russian Federation (NTSUO RF [1] ) is a military command structure subordinate to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation [2] , created to coordinate the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and maintain them in operational condition, as well as to fulfill other information and coordination tasks to ensure the national security of the Russian Federation [1] [3] .

History
The National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation is the successor to the Central Command Post of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Lt. Gen. (since 2017, Colonel-General [4] ) Mikhail Mizintsev has been appointed the head of the National Center for National Control of Russia.
NTsUO Russia is planned to be made the main coordinating body in the entire military life of the country.
The decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the establishment of the NTSUO was signed on December 10, 2013 [5] .
On December 1, 2014, the National Center for Strategic Control of Russia took up combat duty [6] . NTsUO of the Russian Federation includes the Atrium, the Interaction Management Hall, the Decision Hall and other halls and premises.
On December 10, 2014, a mooring complex with a helipad, which is part of the center, was opened on Frunze Embankment .
On December 22, 2014, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu handed in the personal standard of the head of the National Center for the Defense of the Russian Federation to Lieutenant General Mikhail Mizintsev [7] .
During a visit to the center on December 23, 2014, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, said that the National Defense Management Center would work for all countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization [8] .

On March 21, 2015, at the invitation of the NTSUO, he was visited by 102 foreign military attaches , who were told about the verification of the combat readiness of the RF Armed Forces since March 16 [9] .
On the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland on December 9, 2016, in the foyer of the Center, a monument to the soldier of the Great Patriotic War “Victory Soldier” [10] was inaugurated.
In February 2018, the main halls of the National Defense Management Center were given the names of prominent military leaders: Generalissimo A.V. Suvorov , Admiral F.F.Ushakov , Field Marshal M.I. Kutuzov , Marshals of the Soviet Union G.K. Zhukov , K. K Rokossovsky , N. V. Ogarkov and B. M. Shaposhnikov [11] .
Scientific research and training of highly qualified specialists for the NTSUO is carried out by the Military Institute (National Defense Management), created in 2016 as part of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation [12] .
With the participation of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation , unified days for the acceptance of military products are held in the NTSUO and the implementation of the state defense order is coordinated.
On June 27, 2019, the National Center for Defense Management was presented with a letter from the President of Russia and the Battle Banner [13] .
Tasks
- maintaining the centralized combat command and control system of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in readiness for combat use and monitoring the state of the Armed Forces, groupings of troops (forces) in strategic directions , as well as fulfilling the main tasks of combat duty ;
- providing the leadership of the Ministry of Defense with information on the military-political situation in the world, the socio-political situation in the Russian Federation and the state of the Armed Forces, information support for the work of senior officials of the state and the Ministry of Defense during events in the situation center of the Ministry of Defense;
- ensuring management, coordination and control of flights and flights of aviation of the Armed Forces ;
- ensuring management, coordination and control of the performance by the forces (troops) of the Navy of the tasks of combat service and combat duty, participation in international operations and special events, international legal support for the actions of forces (troops) of the Navy.
Decisions applied
The United Instrument-Making Corporation has created a computer expert system for the National Center for the Monitoring of the RF “monitoring and analysis of the military-political, socio-economic and socio-political situation in the country and the world”, which integrates high-quality automatic translation from six languages (an increase in their number is possible in the future), processing of printed text, radio stories, blogs, social networks, computer television and live broadcasts in real time, a system for recognizing images and identifying people and objects [14 ] [15] .
In addition, the NTsUO has an information system based on the Astra Linux OS manufactured by Rusbitech [16] .
The information platform of the center combines 73 federal executive bodies , authorities of all constituent entities of the Russian Federation , 1,320 state corporations and enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Russia into a single system [17] .
