In addition to the single player mode, the game also features a multiplayer mode that allows the player to fight with other players who are in the game online [3] .

Story

The storyline begins with a cutscene in which Kaidan Phoenix and Sophie Davio discuss current events. A month ago, the Peace Liberation Army (WLA) attacked Venice , and a week later it attacked several Asian networks. Phoenix is trying to convince Davio that there is more to this attack than just terrorist attacks, but Davio does not believe him. The cutscene ends and the flashback begins. Phoenix and Jonotan Taylor sail out of the Grand Canal and enter Venice

After moving around Venice and fighting the WLA soldiers, Taylor and Phoenix abduct the boat and escape along the canal from the helicopter chasing them. After that, the flashback ends and the conversation between the Phoenix and Davio continues. Phoenix is trying to convince Davio that something serious is planned and that GS is involved in this, but Davio does not have time to answer her because of a surprise attack from the enemy. There is an explosion

Phoenix wakes up a month later in Rinnoji Temple , located in Japan , equipped in a hospital and under the control of raiders. On the day of the international cyber security summit, street fighting began in Tokyo . Miku Kubo leads the Phoenix out of the temple to Takura and Andrews heading to the city center.

Immediately upon arrival at the center, the heroes are attacked by raiders. Phoenix tries to repulse the attack, but the car with the main characters turns over, Andrews dies. Phoenix and Takura make their way to the city center, participating in street battles.

Having reached a safe place, our heroes try to fight off the raiders, but the Apache appears and blows up the building, because of which the Phoenix falls from a great height. Waking up, he returns to the building and continues the battle. They are joined by Hawke and Davio. Together they move to the city center to put jammers to fight the enemy

At Davio's office, she tells Phoenix that he officially died. This is for the safety of his family. She finds evidence that Taylor and Sanders make an appointment in Tokyo to complete a deal. Phoenix and Davio must stop this meeting

From this moment, the flashback from Venice begins again.

Phoenix, as part of a battle group, flies in a helicopter to the city. The helicopter is immediately attacked, the squad suffers losses. After a short battle, Phoenix and Taylor jump into the Grand Canal (the events of the first flashback are on). The goal of the main characters is the "Package" - a chemical weapon stored in Venice. They find him, but they shoot down a helicopter. The mission ends with Taylor pulling him out of the water into the boat.

The action is again transferred to Japan

Phoenix and Hawk are ambushed and attacked by GS soldiers and drones . Heroes get information about the collaboration of Taylor and Saunders, after which they kill Taylor and evacuate

Phoenix and his team infiltrate Gilman Security headquarters. After cleaning the lobby, the characters are sent to the server room, where they obtain information about the activities of the corporation. Hawk dies. After hacking the systems, Phoenix and Takura retreat to the roof for evacuation, meeting Saunders. Phoenix knocks down his helicopter in revenge for his own. After a short battle, the main character kills Saunders and ceases the illegal activities of the corporation.

In the epilogue announce the game "Modern Combat 6: Vengeance Rising". Phoenix and Davio discuss the events. Phoenix remains optimistic, but Davio at the end of the conversation says, “ The king is dead, long live the king!” ", After which a message comes about a new rebellion in the world hinting at Saunders' son
