Content

Geography

The settlement is located in the west of the region, in the steppe Crimea , facing in the north to the Karkinitsky Gulf of the Black Sea . It adjoins in the west to the village of Black Sea . It borders in the north-east with Mezhvodnensky , in the east with Krasnopoliansky , in the south with Okunevsky and in the south-west with Olenevsky rural settlements [5] .

The settlement area is 150.85 km² [1] .

The main transport route: highway 35K-013 Black Sea - Evpatoria [6] (according to Ukrainian classification - T-0108 [7] ).

History

In Soviet times, in the Crimean region of the Ukrainian SSR in the USSR , apparently in 1959, the Novoselsky Village Council was formed when Novoselsky was given the status of a village [15] . On June 15, 1960, the council included settlements [16] :

  • Artyomovka ,
  • Kuznetsk
  • Karakulevka
  • Novoselskoe

By 1968, Karakulevka [17] was liquidated, in 1973 the Krasnopolyansky village council [15] was formed, where Kuznetsk left. Since February 12, 1991, the village council in the restored Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic [18] , on February 26, 1992, was renamed the Autonomous Republic of Crimea [19] . Since March 21, 2014 - as part of the Republic of Crimea of ​​Russia [20] . The Law “On Establishing the Borders of Municipalities and the Status of Municipalities in the Republic of Crimea” dated June 4, 2014 declared the territory of an administrative unit as a municipality with the status of a rural settlement [21] .
