List of stadiums of the Ukrainian football championship

The central stadium in Cherkasy became the 61st arena, which hosted the matches of the top division of the championship of Ukraine.

Here is a list of football stadiums hosting the top division of the Ukrainian championship since its first season 1992 [~ 1] .

Since the foundation of the Ukrainian championship, matches of its top division have been hosted by 62 football stadiums [1] . The first stadium of the top division was the Central Stadium of the Black Sea Shipping Company in Odessa [2] . On March 6, 1992, a match was played on his field between the local Chernomorets and the Lviv Carpathians . On the same day one more arena debuted - the Central stadium of the city of Nikolaev [2] . The next day, major league matches were played at eight more stadiums: Bukovina (Chernivtsi), Dnipro (Kremenchug), Lokomotiv (Simferopol), Metallurg (Zaporizhia), Meteor (Dnipropetrovsk), Republican "(Kiev), SKA (Odessa) and Electron (Ivano-Frankivsk) [2] . On March 18, in the third round of the championship, another 6 arenas debuted. The last stadium to host matches of the Ukrainian championship in the 1992 season in the 12th round was Dynamo Kyiv Stadium [2] . Starting from the second championship, the list of stadiums was replenished in two ways - either when a team from a new city appeared in the league, or when for one reason or another one of the clubs temporarily or constantly changed the registration [2] .

The least visited stadium in the history of the top division is the field at the Dynamo training base in Koncha-Zaspa, referred to in the PFL protocols as the stadium - Dynamo (club) [3] . The smallest settlement that hosted the fights of the top division is Dobromil (population 4900 people) [3] . The largest number of stadiums - 11 - represented the Donetsk region in the top division [4] . Cherkasy region is the only one on whose territory matches of the top division were held, but there was never a team at the highest level [4] . Only in two areas ( Zhytomyr and Kherson ) have never been played matches of the highest or the Premier League [4] .

Data adjusted as ofAugust 03, 2018 .

Notes
  • n / a - no data
  • In the column “Stadium”: Stadiums of clubs participating in the Premier League of the 2018/19 season are marked in bold; destroyed stadiums in italics ; small prints indicate previous stadium names.
  • In the column “Club”: in small print are clubs from other cities or who have performed at the stadium periodically.
  • In the presented table, the SKS-Arena, Slavutich-Arena and Chernomorets stadiums are considered as independent, since these structures were built on the site of SK Sevastopol, Metallurg and ChMP after they were completely demolished. Such a separation is present in the sources used [5] .
