Distribution and habitat

The only species is endemic to Kenya [5] [6] .

Botanical Description

Chamefites [6] . Herb plants 15–40 cm high.

Leaves 1.5–5.4 × 0.2–0.8 cm in size, usually spiky, not pubescent.

Petals of whitish, lilac and lilac color.

The fruit is a box . Seeds are tan [7] . The species Dibrachionostylus kaessneri was isolated from Oldenlandia due to differences in the structure of the box-fruit. K. Б .. B. Bremekamp brings together the only representative of Dibrachionostylus with the genus Agathisanthemum [8] .

The number of chromosomes is n = 9 [8] .
