In Flames ( Cor. 불꽃 속 으로 , Bulkkot Sogeuro ) is the 2014 South Korean historical and dramatic television series based on the biography of the founder of POSCO and the 33rd South Korean Prime Minister Park Tae Joon . The television series was broadcast by the TV channel Chosun from April 25 to June 28, 2014 on Fridays and Saturdays at 23:00 Korean time. [1] [2] .

Story

The television series is based on the biography of Pak Tae Joon , founder and president of the first steel company in the Republic of Korea, “ POSCO ” [3] [4] . The action takes place during the time when Korea was under the rule of Japan and the Korean War ; fighting poverty and despair, Pak creates his own company, which subsequently plays a decisive role in the economic modernization of Korea [5] .

Initially, the series was planned to be called the Steel King ( cor. 강철 왕 ), such was the unofficial nickname of Pak [6] [7] .
