Biography
He received a musical education in Milan . In 1871–1872 he performed in Kiev in private troupes of Berger and Setov. First, Nikolai Derviz performed under his own name, then, on the stage, he acquired the pseudonym Ende. Then, in 1876, he entered the imperial Mariinsky Opera Stage in St. Petersburg . There he made his debut in the opera Ruslan and Lyudmila as Finn. He also sang tenor solo parts in his works: Life for the Tsar , Blacksmith of Vakul, Robert, Prophet, Rogned, Enemy Force, Faust , Lucia, Mermaid, and Zhidovka ”, etc. Nikolay Derviz was a significant success in comic roles.
He was buried in St. Petersburg at the Novodevichy Cemetery [1] .
