In 1990, Quartz took part in the first Ukrainian Cup . The team loses in the quarter finals and does not reach the top four.
In 1991, Quartz participated in the zonal qualifying tournament of the championship of Ukraine, held in Zaporozhye . The team performs in a group with Sputnik from Kherson, a team of the collective farm. Chapaev, Zaporozhye Impulse and Aviator, as well as Lugansk Iskra. “Quartz” failed to enter the top three teams that received the right to play next season in the top league of the national championship [2] .
