KeruenCity (formerly called Mega Aktobe ) is a large shopping and entertainment center in the city of Aktobe ( Kazakhstan ).

The test launch of the MEGA Aktobe was held on September 10, 2009 [3] , and the final opening took place on October 16. The shopping center is located near the park. First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan . The construction of a new center cost $ 70 million [4] . 1,500 Aktobe residents received jobs, and the planned annual allocations to the budget amounted to 200 million tenge [5] .
The total area of the center is 45 355 m², and the commercial area is 29 794 m². It houses the Anvar supermarket with an area of 3,300 m², a hypermarket of household appliances and electronics (1,300 m²), a children's amusement park (2,300 m²), a 7-hall cinema multiplex, a food court for 400 seats, 13 different cafes and restaurants, an ice rink 500 m² and 75 boutiques. Nearby is a parking for 800 places [6] .
On average, about 25–30 thousand people visit MEGA shopping centers on weekdays, and the number of visitors reaches 30–40 thousand people on weekends and holidays [7] . During the “MEGA Shopping Night 2” campaign, 46 thousand people visited a shopping center in Aktobe [8] .
Selling to new owners
In October 2016, it became known that the shopping centers MEGA Astana and MEGA Aktobe were sold to ADD Invest Properties LLP (previously: Karoc ) [9] . Accordingly, from March 22, 2017, the rebranding of the shopping center MEGA AKTOBE in KeruenCity.
False bomb reports
The MEGA Aktobe Shopping Center is a frequent target for false reports of a “bomb bomb” (so-called telephone terrorism ). The very first false call was made on June 1, 2011 [10] . Then false reports of bombs were received: February 1, 2013 [11] , February 22 [12] , June 27 [13] , in August [14] and April 20, 2014 [15] . The day after the discovery in honor of the new name on March 23, 2017 there was a false report about the bomb.
