Rachel Tru ( born Rachel True , born November 15, 1966) is an American actress. She was born in New York, where she graduated from New York University , before starting an acting career [1] .

Tru made her television debut at The Cosby Show , after which she continued to play cameo roles in Beverly Hills, 90210 , The Prince of Beverly Hills , and Family Cases . She gained fame after playing a major role in the 1996 film “ Witchcraft ” [2] . The following year, she played the lead female role in the movie Nowhere , and then moved to television, where she had minor roles in The Drew Carrie Show (1997-98) and Again and Again (1999-2000). She achieved her greatest fame thanks to the leading role in the sitcom of the UPN Half and Half, where she was filmed from 2002 to 2006.
