Weather, Ulrich

Ulrich Weather was born on July 31, 1954 in the city of Wittichenau (Kulov). He began his first music lessons at a music school in the city of Hoyersverda (Voyerets). After graduating from sports school, he continued his musical education until 1974 at the Music Academy in Weimar and the Cottbus Conservatory. In 1985, he was the music editor of radio broadcasting in the Nizhneluzhitsky language of the Rundfunk radio station (today, the Cottbus studio of the Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg radio station).

Ulrich Pogod writes various genres of music, including vocal and musicals. In his works he uses diatonic scales, traditional compositional methods, polyphonic and harmonic structures. Takes part in the organization of lusatian musical life.
